Getting to work on a hot pink and black #wool peplum jacket using the #CharmPatterns #princesscoat. Buying this pink wool from #fabscrap was a gamble because it was all that was left on the bolt and less than two yards.

I used two red silks for this dress. An Italian #silk from #Italy for the shell and a silk of some sort from #fabscrap for the lining. I think it’s a #habotai but I can’t be sure. I didn’t want to use inside facings so I made a lining by cutting two of everything.

Volunteered at #FabScrap today to do a little bit to save textiles from landfills. A bin of fabric came home with me for some creative endeavors! (Five pounds of general scraps for free, 30% off leather etc for volunteers!)
