Cerulean eyes twinkling in the moonlight and dimples carved from a broad, apologetic smile. Rain drips from his wide-brimmed hat onto a beige coat that Crowley knows smells like candle smoke and ageing parchment. For a moment, he basks in the radiance of the angel's smile, a guilty pleasure that comforts him, even as it crushes him. He leans forward to taste the air, letting the scent trigger a memory of lips and heat and earthly desire, a heart cracking in two. Crowley struggles with his conflicted feelings, and Aziraphale makes a special delivery.

While I'm Still Healing Thavron Chapter 2: Chapter 1 Summary: As much as his body had hurt for hundreds of years, Crowley was alive. And this world was alive. And it was beautiful and vibrant and his. Perhaps Aziraphale had forgotten the promise they had made, but he never would. Whilst Aziraphale was away in heaven, Crowley put his own plans into action.
Crowley was done running. He had driven all night. He had driven until he had run out of road, until he had run out of land, until the roar of the ocean assaulted his ears and shook open his miserable heart. He had spent so long confined to the overcrowded streets of London that he had forgotten the siren song of the deep sea. One could almost believe that the Earth was breathing. The tide rushes in, the tide rushes out, a never-ending cycle that governs all things. Crowley matched each inhale and breathed in time with God. Time passed.

His phone screen flashes Unknown Caller . He presses his finger to his lips, gesturing to Lizzy to stay quiet as she walks back into the room, and while holding his breath he accepts the call. He cannot bring himself to say a word and waits in silence, his heart about to beat out of his chest. "Lou it's me." Louis crumbles.
