A very cute drawing of Melanie with a helmet, I wanted to experiment with her design a bit and cause I haven’t drawn her in a really long time. I also gave her bangs which was something that I gave her years ago but god rid of for the sake of simplifying her design more, but I brought them back, in recent times, I also felt like Mel’s design was lacking features that reflected her personality, so I gave her a helmet to reflect her more tech savvy side, admitedly I feel like she looked better with the bow on her head but I like the clefairy esque front curl I have her, it looks much better than the coco bandicoot esque tuft I had on her for at least 7 years. In retrospect I feel like the helmet was kinda unnecessary as a part of her core design and that the bow reflected her personality well too, I felt like maybe I was trying a bit too hard to add something different to her design but maybe the bangs and front curl was all that was necessary, still a great drawing and nice to draw Mel after several months, same goes to Holly.
