One Day One day I wake too agitated to tap the screen My throat clenches as I brush my teeth They are there, behind my teeth, behind my eyes I can't keep them out, they are in my mind One day, they will all have been against this One day I cringe from the signs as I pilot My car through a jungle of land minds I must watch the road, not close my eyes Against the signs that are signs of vehemence One day they will all have been against this One day I am at my tasks, trying to complete My labor in spite of knowing that they are At their labor, crouched like gremlins in committee As they seek to pass prohibitions to abiding One day they will all have been against this all along
