bornean ferret-badger, a species of mustelid of the genus melogale known for their elongated snouts and bushy tails. this species has extensive white or yellowish markings and underside, and a whitish fade at the tip of the tail. the rest of its fur is greyish-brown. like other ferret-badgers, it has a long body and short legs. aside from the vietnam ferret-badger, the ferret-badger species look very similar and are difficult to distinguish by appearance alone.
