He originally had heterochromia, which was two different colored eyes; blue & yellow. TW: hate crime / abuse!! ________ ________ ________ Solstice was jumped by two male felines after he left his work during the night. A few years younger than him, pinned by the second, the first extended his claws out and called his eyes a “monstrosity”. Despite his attempts to fight them, he’d been overpowered and the result was his right eye being clawed into, immediately blinding him. As he reeled from his injuries, the felines escaped. Their sloppiness of the crime, had them caught by a nearby surveillance camera. They’d later be arrested. The first one charged with assault in the first degree and hate crime, the second being charged as an accomplice. The attack was targeted beyond just the heterochromia, and it’s to due with his species. Hate crimes are rare in this city, so it’d been a shock to many of the locals. ———— Solstice has gotten a little prejudice against felines. Even his feline friends, he’s become a little uncomfortable with. He harbors no hate towards felines as a whole and understands the minority is not the majority. But his trauma and bitterness from losing half his vision, does not help him to better rationalize his line of thinking. His hate and apathy is reserved for the felines who jumped him. Solstice originally had natural white hair, he dyed it to a blondish color. He refused to have his right eye removed, hating the idea of wearing a fake eye or an eyepatch. Solstice is the first character of mine who is blinded in one eye. Since the crime, his personality has shifted. Barely humorous and less friendly. (This took place sometime during the 2020s)
