We were treated to a concert by @thequarrymen.bsky.social this summer! Originals Colin Hanton and Rod Davis played, along with David Bedford and Henry Duff Lowe (son of original John Duff Lowe). I even played the washboard for a song (I'm in the blue shirt)! #beatles #ffmc #fabfour #quarrymen

Also in Liverpool, the Casbah Coffee Club! The Beatles played here many times before the Cavern. Painted by John, Paul, George, Pete, Mona, and Cynthia, the art on the ceiling and walls is still original. The stage was much smaller than I thought! #beatles #ffmc

Of course, I finally had to pay a visit to the Cavern Club! Though not the original (which was closed in 1973), this rebuilt one is mere feet away from the original, and built using many of the original bricks. #beatles #ffmc

Also on Mathew Street is the wonderful Liverpool Beatles Museum. Tons of original Beatle-y artifacts inside. Highly recommended stop if you are in Liverpool! #beatles #ffmc

My first walk down Mathew Street was an amazing feeling! The Beatles would have been all over this street. First of all, The Cavern Club is located here. But there are several other "Beatle-y" spots on this street and nearby. It was a very popular area, especially at night. #beatles #ffmc

While in Liverpool, I stayed at the Hard Day's Night Hotel. It's a great hotel with Beatles stuff everywhere (and Beatles music playing 24/7). I stayed in a Patti and George room. And it's literally right next to Mathew Street, where the Cavern Club is located. ✌️ #beatles #ffmc

Right across the street from St. Peter's Church is the rec room where Paul McCartney first met John Lennon. I was fortunate enough to be able to get in to see it. The photo of my feet is the estimated exact spot where they met (toward the back on the left), as shown in the picture. #beatles #ffmc

Behind St. Peter's Church is the likely location of where the Quarrymen played the day John met Paul (with the lovely David Bedford pointing out the spot). The cemetery has greatly expanded, but it's most definitely where it took place. #beatles #ffmc
