Some tips for playing Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. Speed and Turns Each character has a Speed stat, which is based on class, equipment, and level. It affects how quickly they get turns. Your turn happens when your CT gauge reaches 100. If you are 5 speed, you get a turn every 100/5 (20) ‘ticks’, whereas if you are 6 speed you get a turn every 100/6 (17) ticks. Choosing to wait without first moving or acting gives you an extra 20 CT, or 40 for both, speeding up your next turn. In the lower left corner is a girl pointing upwards toward the text.

For Beginners: JP Boost is a very powerful Support skill because it makes you gain JP 1.5x faster, unlocking new classes and abilities faster. Movement +1 and +2 are both very useful for getting to the enemies more efficiently. Black Mage is very powerful in Chapter 1, so having at least one on the team can help you be successful! Looking at charge times! Enemies can potentially act in the middle of your spell casting. In the bottom left is a girl pointing upwards. Icon by Woogi.

Some tips for playing Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. Each character has an associated “Zodiac”, based on their birthday. Based on this sign, they will have three potential interactions with other units. Best Zodiac: Will do 150% damage, and increased status rates. Only applies to human enemies. Monsters will be ‘Bad’ rather than ‘Best’. Good/Bad: Will do 125% or 75% damage, and increased/decreased status rates. The Zodiac affinity chart is attached to this post. Note: The signs that are three away from your current one are ‘Bad’, the ones that are four away are ‘Good’, and the one that is the opposite is ‘Best” Example: Taurus Bad: Leo, Aquarius (three back and three forward) Good: Virgo, Capricorn (four forward and four back) Best: Scorpio On the top right, there is a icon of a girl holding up her finger, as to teach someone.

Some tips for playing Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. “Faith” determines how good a character is at casting spells. The higher the faith, the better the character’s spellcasting is. Both attack magic and buffing is affected by the Faith modifier. It also determines how much damage a character takes from enemy spells. The higher the faith, the more damage a character takes from enemy spells! But Faith also lets your allies inflict positive status effects such as Haste, Protect, and Shell. On the top right, there is a icon of a girl holding up her finger.
Faith is the spellcasting ability. Your spells hit harder and status ailments/buffs hit more often! It also causes spells against you to hit harder, and status to be inflicted more often! It can be a double-edged sword, but it is overall useful to have.

Some tips for playing Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. "Bravery” determines the rate that reactions go off. A person with 49 brave would have a reaction go off 49% of the time. It also determines the damage you inflict with fists (and later in the game, samurai and special knight swords.) The higher your brave, the more damage you do with these weapons!
Day 2: What the hell is 'Brave' and 'Faith'? Why do they matter so much for building a good character in FFT?
