A 6 by 6 inch square painting of a young girl in shorts on a blue couch - both of which are facing the viewer’s left. The girl has been opening presents. A pink Caboodle sits on a stack of things to her left peaking over the arm of the couch in the foreground. The girl has just finished unwrapping a Pretty Pretty Princess box. An adult is sitting in brown carpet cutoff to the left of the composition. Just behind the girl is a manger scene and an old tv set is cutoff in the top right corner of the composition.
A 6 by 6 inch painting with a white plastic yard chair overturned in the foreground leaning against a white plastic table. To the right of the chair a girl in a blue tank top sits on concrete drawing with chalk. A yellow plastic bucket with erect white handle sits between the girl and the chair. To the right of the girl a squatting adult is cutoff by the right edge of the canvas. A covered grill sits in the back against a wall.
A two by two square foot painting with two retro female figures sitting to the viewers left. Towards the bottom center a girl with a very blue jean jacket, clear plastic framed glasses and brown bangs half-smiles out at the viewer. Above her and to the viewer’s left a brunette woman in a white sweat jacket and clear framed plastic glasses looks in another direction and seems to be holding a baby though only some of their fingers are visible. A fraction of a purple thing they are sitting on perks through at the bottom right and indiscernible red shapes can be seen at the top right.
An old man with glasses, jeans, and a blue plaid shirt sits in a wooden chair and looks down at a young boy he is holding onto. The boy is standing and looking in another direction. He wears a blue shirt with a red truck on it and jeans. A curio cabinet is behind the figures to the left of the composition. A white fridge with things magnetized to it is in the back center and a wood finished kitchen extends back from there.
As a new month has started, Hindsight at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts has come to a close.
Many thanks again to Thelma for allowing my work to hang in their wonderful space amongst their community.
