First time I've really played with colour on a monochrome background.

The remains of the chapter house exterior at Finchale Priory in County Durham. Situated on the banks of the River Wear, the priory was found in the late 12th century on the site of the hermitage of St Godric. 📸 My own. #WallsOnWednesday #FinchalePriory #CountyDurham

Yesterday went back to #FinchalePriory to show Mr M the autumn foliage before it is all blown off the trees.

Took an extended lunch break today to enjoy the #autumn colours before the coming winds and rain blow the foliage away.
The river Wear in the #Durham area is lovely in any season, but particularly so in elusive autumn sunshine. 😊

A trip to #FinchalePriory today, located in a bend on the river Wear to the east of Durham. Rather Gothic. Very frosty; and the sound of the river could be heard everywhere. 😊 #CountyDurham
