It's very useful, polling sites instructions and profiles of all candidates. Then it turns out in my city council district the incumbent (D) runs unchallenged so my #firstelection is sorta pro-forma.

Excellent, congrats! I guess in NC we don't get election guides (I don't recall that I did). But I *did* get an extra primary #firstelection three weeks ago! :)

Momentous personal event, yet anticlimactic due to the fact that there is only one candidate running for city council in my district.
