Rotary's Four-Way Test is a 24-word ethical guideline that can be applied to personal and professional decisions. It's a set of four questions to consider the impact of actions on everyone involved: Truth: Is it truthful? Fairness: Is it fair to all parties? Goodwill: Will it build better friendships and goodwill? Benefit: Will it be beneficial to everyone involved? Herbert J. Taylor created the test in 1932 to guide the ethical climate of his company, Club Aluminum Products. Rotary adopted the test in 1943 as a guide for sales, production, advertising, and customer and dealer relations. It's been translated into over 100 languages.
Thought of the day - I hope my friends and family help me remember the #FourWayTest when I speak.
Even when I'm online, and it's easy to be unkind.
