Judge Barry Williams dropped one of the assault charges after the prosecution rested, ruling there wasn't enough evidence to prove 2nd-degree assault. Rice was found not guilty of all counts on July 18, 2016

Facts: While being transported in a police van, Gray sustained injuries & was taken to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. He died from injuries to his spinal cord. Cops failed to secure Gray inside the van while driving to the police station.
