Sheeple Social Media Can make people unhappy Designed to be addictive Are we addicted? So much virtue signalling People afraid to show their real self Lacking self confidence Hiding behind a veil of wonderfulness False, deceptive, dishonest, smoke and mirrors But why? Why do you need to hide? Are you really that awful that you need to be ashamed of who and what you are? Who do they think they’re fooling? Possibly themselves You can keep your PMA You can keep your adverts I don’t need them or want them I like real people Imperfect, fallible, outspoken Prepared to be different Prepared to be wrong Not just following like sheep Speaking up for their beliefs Life can be beautiful Photos can capture that beauty But life, and people, can be cruel Both are elements in our journey Embrace both, stop hiding, be real After all, you’re not a bot Are you?
