Next step is to work out the biomes, climates.
I'm not too precious about the rest of the world. I have a vision for the old territory. Made some early tests to see if it can work. Some parts will have to change, but thankfully most of my initial idea can stay.

I had a lot ... and I mean A LOT of space to fill out.
First I just went in and drew up some continents randomly, but then thought: "yeah, but the shells may move and bump into each other, which would form mountains at the edges of the shells."
So today I reached this state:

I had to place the old map on this somehow. I had a general idea how big the old map was supposed to be and how close it would be to the pole, but it still surprised me so see it in context...

As I started figuring out what I wanted with the rest of the world and worked on how this place came to be to begine with I had the idea to have it a broken, shattered planet.
I had my reasons, but also, I just found it to be a cool concept :)
