Xillia 1 killed my interest in the series and Xillia 2 buried it. We could have had a female protagonist with a good story instead of whatever they were trying to do with Milla

Only two games come to mind:
3rd Birthday, which I tolerated because it was a mildly fun third-person shooter despite the excessive sexism.
Bioshock Infinite, which was a goddamn mess and so underwhelming compared to Bioshock 1/2 that I returned it after one playthrough.

In the cases of Mission: Impossible and Batman Forever, I actually grew to like them, eventually. Xeno just wasn't for me, which was a bummer. I couldn't stand Spectral Force for more than a few minutes.

as a kid the only DBZ games I could get my hands on were Japanese roms. I was so excited when Legacy of Goku was released... until I played it. So bad. To make matters worse I picked it up right after seeing Attack of the Clones in theaters

I tend to do a ton of research and vibe checks before I buy anything so this rarely happens, but even I am not immune to stuff that just doesn’t click for me…

I practically never regret game purchases, even if I don't end up jamming with the game that much, but these four stung HARD
No Man's Sky especially, glad to see that it seems better now and I might revisit it, but that launch... THE PAIN

Both of these are games that I call uncanny games. They look and sound like the games you love but they are just off and wrong. Like they wearing the skin of your favorite games. I was so annoyed that I bought them at launch. #Fullretailregrets
