Re takums these are improved tapered posits with uniform tolerance at different precisions. So you can expect the 8 bit add - that's really a multiply since this is logarithmic/posit - to be about as inexact as the 64 bit add.
Eg where #fuzzymath helps speed things up but only if fuzz is uniform.

When I walk the dog, I tell everyone we walked 2 miles. My reasoning is 1.3 miles is closer to 1.5 miles than 1 mile. And if if you round up 1.5 miles then by "math rules" that's rounded up to 2 miles. #fuzzymath
