Well, having downloaded the GRD3 zip.gz files of the Gaia, I was able to make a test image with a map containing stars in a 100LJ radius. Still a work in progress though. And I need to fix something…

Downloading #Gaia ’s #GDR3 Source Files (3386). I wrote a #python #code. Never downloaded zip-files before. Now I can use the data creating like small maps (eg 200 light years radius). Sadly you need the whole set for a complete picture… Every file only covers a small portion of the sky. #Astronomy
