Outcomes: Continue to support nonprofits beyond their GiveCamp weekend Assist nonprofits who have not previously been part of GiveCamp Spread the word about the Cleveland GiveCamp Keep GiveCamp at top of mind for nonprofits, volunteers, and sponsors What speakers should know about our nonprofits Our average nonprofit is very small They generally have basic websites using a low code solution like Wordpress, Wix, or Squarespace Technology capabilities range widely - some are scrappy, some very technology challenged - don’t be afraid of giving very basic information We’ve seen problematic practices such as sharing passwords and logins, reusing passwords, etc. The session will be recorded and posted to our YouTube channel

What is Cleveland GiveCamp? Cleveland GiveCamp is a gathering of volunteers with technical, creative and organizational skills who come together for one weekend each year to partner with area nonprofits and help bring their technical projects to life. Our work is completely free of charge. What do we do? We work with organizations on tech projects that can be completed in a weekend. Most commonly, we develop websites that help our nonprofit partners operate more efficiently and reach and serve their constituents more effectively. We have also built mobile apps and games and helped organizations with other kinds of tech projects. Who do we work with? The nonprofits we work with offer vital services and programs across Northeast Ohio. They are arts organizations of all kinds, nonprofit health care providers and groups that address poverty, hunger, racism and other issues of great concern throughout our region. Some of the nonprofits we have worked with. How are nonprofits selected for Cleveland GiveCamp? Organizations submit applications, and we choose our partner nonprofits based on feasibility (projects must doable in one weekend) and the financial need for our services. Most of our nonprofit partners have very limited budgets and can’t afford to hire companies to help them realize their tech projects.
