A moorhen on the former boating pond in Glasgow's Victoria Park. The moor in moorhen originates from the old English mor meaning marsh, so they are, in fact, marsh hens!

A colony of mining bees at Hogganfield Loch in the east of Gladgow. These solitary bees dig nests into sandy soil, creating these distinctive piles of excavated sand on the surface.

It's not just us humans which have been enjoying today's spring sunshine here in Glasgow, and I came across these Canada Geese at Bingham's Pond in the West End indulging in a spot of sunbathing.

A pond with a ring-necked duck and a tufted duck. The tufty is black and white, the ring-necked duck appears black and silver with a taller looking head, and is smaller, with white bands on the bill.
Just saw this ring-necked duck (right) at Maxwell Park! Only 1 or 2 turn up in Scotland every year! Their normal range is North America! Probably tryna get away from Trump ๐
The one on the left is a tufted duck.
