ファクトチェッカーと巨大プラットフォームが「フレネミー」と呼ぶ微妙な関係であることについて解説しています。この会議は６月末にボスニア＝ヘルツェゴビナのサラエボで開かれました。少し前の話ですが、現在日本で議論されている問題とも密接に関わるので、発信しています。
世界のファクトチェッカーの大会 #グローバルファクト11 #GlobalFact で話し合われたことを解説する記事の第2弾です。政治家や公共性が高い人物の言動を検証する政治ファクトチェックという「原点」が見直されているという動きです。最近日本で議論されているような「オンライン上の偽・誤情報がひどくて怖い」というのではなく「国の将来に大きな影響を及ぼす政治の言説がオンライン上で歪曲され巧妙に拡散されることが怖く、防ぐ必要がある」という、民主主義を守るジャーナリズムの一環という発想なのです。
