Enough about the art let’s talk lore! The crown princess is from an alternate universe called Terra! Magic exists in this world. It was important to me for this reason to make her what? Dark skinned. To make her a princess. Now I could have given her black hair for the setting it would fit more. But we are talking fantasy. And in fantasy it’s not so rare to have wild hair colors. Just so we all know… this combo does exist out there. I’m sure of it but I love this look for fantasy. I kept one of her eyes yellow and the other black. I want to subtly push the fantasy vibe even in the small details. Her empire is in the south and hotter planes of Terra. How else would she be this dark? Hello? It’s very hot year round so she can wear outfits like this often year rounds. Her empire is highly advance and focuses on magic technology and medicine. A lot of people come to study there. In th same time frame there is the holy empire which is much less developed I’ll draw them next. But gosh ugh I made my black Barbie. When I was a kid I had several that looked similar to her and I adored playing with those slender dolls!
