#golf #caffeine On the advice of my urologist, I quit drinking caffeinated soda. My urinary symptoms didn't improve, I got headaches, and, while playing #gowf, my already pitifully short drives went 5 to 8 yards shorter.
Apparently that is a thing.

I had the wonderful opportunity to play #gowf at Bellerive Country Club outside of St. Louis. #Bellerive has been the site of the US Open (1965), PGA Championship (1992, 2018), and many other USGA and PGA tournaments.
I spent a lot of time in the sand, but didn't lose any balls.

Yesterday, we had an off-day as volunteers for the US Women's Golf Open at Erin Hills in WI.
We spent the afternoon playing #gowf at The Baths, a ten hole par 3 course at Blackwolf Run In Kohler WI. Each of the holes are designed after famous short holes like The Postage Stamp and Redan.

Today, my wife and I traveled up to Wisconsin for the US Women's Open at Erin Hills Golf Course where we will be volunteering.
On the drive up from Peoria, we stopped in lovely Lacon Illinois for some #gowf at Timber Ridge Golf Course.

After a most excellent lunch at Saffron Social in peoria# with @martywombacher.bsky.social (Thanks Marty! Look for his review on his blog next week), I headed up to Arrowhead for some #gowf.
It was a tad windy: 25 to 30 mph with sustained gusts of 40 mph.

Well before the tornadic storms moved into the #Peoria area, we got in 9 holes of #gowf. It was very windy and the clouds were kinda strange; a brownish-gray. It spritzed a bit during our nine holes. When we finished we discovered all the cars covered in good ol' Illinois topsoil.

It got up to 72° F today, so I played some #gowf. Temporary tees and pins, but it was nice to swing the hickories.
We have a natural area on the 4th hole. I'm not sure if it is tall fescue or little bluestem, but every spring our grounds crew does a controlled burn.

It has been in the 50's and 60's for the past two days, so we have been playing some #gowf.
Yesterday, I wore regular pants which became muddy and soaking wet up to the knees.
So today, I wore plus fours and had no problem with mud or dampness.
