3/4 #Imagemagick & #graphicsmagick have support for #SVG. Last I tested, imagemagick had better support. Adding better SVG support to graphicsmagick would be a useful project. Programs like #abcm2ps can output to SVG and imagemagick can convert that to a viewable #PNG format. #DFD2026

This stairway was cut into the quarry that supplied the stone to build Glenveagh Castle in Glenveagh National Park in County Donegal, Ireland. I made this photo on August 5, 2013. According to Heritage Ireland: "Some 16,540 hectares (40,873 acres) of mountains, lakes, glens and woods, with a herd of red deer. A Scottish style castle is surrounded by one of the finest gardens in Ireland, which contrast with the rugged surroundings."

More about Glenveagh may be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenveagh_Castle and at https://www.nationalparks.ie/glenveagh/ (retrieved January 27, 2026).

This is Lough Eske in County Donegal, Ireland on August 4, 2013. In Gaelic it was originally called "fish lake". When the kingdom of Tirconaill was ruled by the O'Donnell family, there was an O'Donnell castle at the edge of this lake. The Bluestack Mountains, also called the Croaghgorms, are in the background beyond the lake.

Legend says one can see Scotland from here, but the ewe seemed skeptical to me. This ewe was guarding her lamb at Stroove, Moville, Donegal, Ireland. The photo was made on August 4, 2013, looking North East from above an Inishowen cliff. Columbcille (St. Columba) is said to have left from near this place when he exiled himself to Scotland. Distant mountains are barely visible across the ocean.

What's your favorite #FOSS graphics program? Personally, I can't pick one. #Gimp, #Inkscape, #Graphicsmagick & #Imagemagick are great. As are #DarkTable, #RawTherapee, #MTPaint & #TuxPaint. However, some lesser known #FLOSS graphics programs I like are #GrafX2, #LodePaint and #I.mage. #SFD2025

Thanks. I list some of the equipment and camera settings on my web page: www.rsok.com/~jrm/2025Jul... for this one.

For processing the raw file from the camera, I use Canon DPP on macOS or #rawtherapee free software on #Debian Linux. I also use #gimp, #graphicsmagick, #exiftool, and #hugin.
