So, my overall learning experience with Blender's Grease Pencil so far.

1) When making the mouth rig, use a copy of the mouth shape with another material for the lips. Helps with masking the tongue and teeth. The same could be done for the eyes.

Overall armature for my first 2D Rig. The Lattice is used for shape keying the head when moving the face around. I have no plans for additional angles on this rig, at least until I get more experience.
