This is a 1959 Silvertone lap steel/slide guitar, model 1312 with the original hard shell case. It's is 100% original. It has a brown finish. It has 50's Modernist-style three dimensional patterns on the fingerboard and a gold Art-Deco, metal, Silvertone logo on the headstock. It was made by Supro/Valco for Sears. It has all gold hardware and translucent tuners with gold sparkles embedded. This may have been a special edition since the Sears catalogs does not reference the gold hardware. The serial number is T19xxx (last 3 digits removed). The guitar is in great playing shape. The neck is straight and all the electronics work correctly. I'm constantly telling people they should take the Amtrak Borealis for travel between Chicago and the Twin Cities but they don't want to not have their car at the destination. Yeah TC and Chi have good transit by US standards but I'll admit there's a lot of things you may well miss w/out a car
