A vertical, high-contrast Silvertone photograph that captures a moment of stark, industrial beauty. Centered in the frame, a large seagull is frozen in mid-flight, its wings fully extended in a wide, elegant arc. The monochrome palette accentuates the delicate, mottled textures of the bird's feathers, making the living creature stand out against a bright, pale sky. To the right, a weathered water tower bristling with cellular antennas serves as a sharp, geometric counterpoint to the organic form of the bird. The lower third of the image is grounded by the dark, silhouetted shapes of bare trees and a "GRASSO" excavator. The composition is balanced and graphic, highlighting the grace of the gull as it navigates a heavy, mechanical landscape.

Magnatone Mark IX stereo guitar with two double shielded pickups repainted white, circa 1960. This early 1960's Mark IX guitar, made by Magnatone of California, was part of their Artist Series which included the Mark VII and the Mark VIII models. The very rare Mark IX, designed by Paul Barth of Rickenbacker Guitars, is unique because it has two output jacks; providing stereo output for an outstandingly versatile combination of tones, sounds and options. Description from VintageSilvertones.com When the mono/stereo switch is up to stereo, each pickup sends signal to its own output jack. You can adjust each output to your specific taste using the tone and volume knobs for each pickup. You can also plug it into two separate amps or through two different effect boxes to create truly unique tones. Of course with the flick of a switch, you can easily play in traditional mono, as well, utilizing the pickup switch to attain a great variety of tones from the high (bridge) pickup, the mellow (neck) pickup and a combination of the both. Description from VintageSilvertones.com We were told the guitar once belonged to Dee Snider of Twisted Sister but have no proof of that. The guitar, the myth, the legend! Silvertone K141 (Kay model number) guitar made by Kay for Silvertone in 1953-1954. Kay issued variations on this guitar from 1952 onward. The models were branded K-125 in 1952, K-141 circa 1954, and K-136 in 1958. This was Kay's answer to the Harmony H41/H42/H44 and Newport models; which were most likely a response to the first Les Paul, Esquire and Broadcaster guitars. Description from VintageSilvertones.com The guitar was sold as a project. As you can see from the photos, it's a little rough. Aside from the headstock and fretboard, the guitar was repainted red. And, it's a pretty weak paint job. If the red is latex paint, it may be possible to remove it. Otherwise, the guitar is all original. Description from VintageSilvertones.com

Another guitar that we purchased modified. This one is a Silvertone Danelectro U1 baby blue repainted and modified from 1958. A classic Silvertone that got a face-lift. It was probably black originally--repainted baby blue. The tolex was removed and replaced with a modern-day equivalent. Otherwise, it's all original and has that great Danelectro lipstick pickup sound. Description from VintageSilvertones.com

Silvertone-Danelectro U1/1317 - single pickup white/bronze/black electric guitar. This is a Silvertone electric guitar made by Danelectro of Neptune New Jersey in 1957. The body color is ivory. It's serial number is 5xx7. It has one single-coil lipstick pickup (which is split on one side.) The neck is straight and all the electronics work correctly. The neck feels like a standard Danelectro width but just slightly smaller. Everything appears to be original except the knobs. They are Harmony "cupcake" knobs from the 1950s/early 1960s. The body is the smaller U1 "peanut" size. Check out the "leatherette" binding, crazy! Description from VintageSilvertones.com As you can see, someone started refinishing it but never completed the project. The guitar plays fine. So it can either be a project or just a nice little guitar to jam on. Could be a hot punk rock guitar! The interesting thing is the finish is ivory, as seen on the back, but underneath that is a bronze finish. The front even has black paint under the white but that could be primer, possibly. Danelectro would often recycle body parts. So it's entirely possible the ivory is the original factory finish done over a copper or black body. But put a couple of coatings of ivory car paint and you're almost new again! It comes with a gig bag. Description from VintageSilvertones.com

This is a Kay K573-Speed Demon, shaded walnut finish/tobaccoburst, hollow body, electric guitar made by Kay of Chicago, IL circa 1962. This is a player’s grade guitar or beginning collector’s model. It works and sounds great but has been sanded and played for many years. The Speed Demon models were offered between 1960 and 1966 in various department store catalogs catalogs and sold under the Kay brand. The unlabeled headstock means this was sold through a department store like Dillards or another of the long-ago closed chains. Similar models were sold by Sears but they are very rare. The Kay-branded models had crown-style headstock versus the paddle/hockey-stick-style on this model. The only other significant difference is the knobs. This guitar has large black plastic/bakelite knobs with a chrome top versus Kay’s white knobs. Description from VintageSilvertones.com
