I’m not sure how to actually play this piece on the tabletop. And I had to unpaint the tentacles to get them right.

I think these Von Ryan’s Leapers might be my favorite modern Tyranid minis. These are like a combination of lictors and hormagaunts. I had both when I started playing back in the 90s….

I’ve been sitting on a GW gift card and I’m going to crowd source how to spend it. I’m definitely getting gargoyles to go with a winged tyranid prime. I’m also eyeing a tyranofex or something big like that. Suggestions?

I’ll mention my current army below

Warhammer 40K, tyranids, norn emissary model on a table. A plastic scale model of a large monster covered in chitinous armor with large scythe claws. The carapace is painted orange, the rest of the skin is dark purple, and the unpainted bits are still a cream toned off-white.

Very much WIP. But more progress than none was made today. This model is definitely testing my willingness to always build first rather than use sub assemblies.
