It's been a while, huh? This summer has seen me fighting multithreading and refactoring a whole lot of code. I doubled the render distance and increased the fps, overhauled entity spawns, as well as a whole lot of other stuff.

Yesss I implemented a system in #greeble4 for certain objects to persist between different magnitude scales. This opens up a lot of options for catered landmarks and finer details for objects that exist at larger scales. #godot #madewithgodot #procgen #megastructure

Took another step toward controlled worldgen in #greeble4. Textures can now be projected in 3D space onto the surface of larger objects and their colors will determine which terrain objects are chosen.

This means I can use my own drawings as a basis for the terrain generation. #godot #madewithgodot

No #Greeble4 Update this week as I have been mostly squashing bugs and the new biome isn't anywhere near ready enough yet. There will be a few new little surprises here or there in the next update, however. :D

Oh man, I just took a big step toward making the worldgen in #greeble4 deterministic by way of layering noise functions (and potentially textures!!!) and projecting them in 3D space!

You can see the perlin islands now instead of sheer, homogenous chaos!
