🌍 Grey Go-away-bird (Crinifer concolor)

The Grey Go-away-bird is a striking bird with a smoky-grey plumage, a long tail, and a wispy, back-swept crest. It has a distinctive black beak and a bright pink gape. Found across the southern Afrotropics, it inhabits open woodlands, savannas, and even suburban gardens. They are highly social, moving in groups to forage for fruit and insects. They are well-known for their loud, nasal "go-away" call, which often alerts other animals to danger. 2.5 Flash (Edited)

Four subspecies are recognised.
