Panel 1: A dying Hagatha settles against a tree stump, blood seeping out her neck. Drac's hand covers her wounds. Hagatha: "Dear, sweet Dracula." Panel 2: Drac's bereft, remorseful face, blood dribbling from his fangs and down his chin. In the background are two gnarled, dead trees. Drac: O Hagatha, my love...I begged you to stay away...All those years ago... Panel 3: Hagatha: Drac...Go find The Mummy...And fly me to Hamunaptra... Panel 4: Hagatha slumps full-body against the tree stump and dies, having succumbed to her blood-loss; Drac hangs his head, presumably weeping over her body.
Panel 1: Silhouette of The Mummy and Hagatha riding on Drac's bat-form against a starlit night sky Panel 2: Closeup of The Mummy (dressed in his hooded Imhotep robes, using his bandages as reins, wearing a dark, stoic, borderline sinister expression) and Drac in his bat form (mega-bat with red fur and black and red wings). Presumably strapped onto Drac's right wing is Hagatha's washed and prepared body, dressed in a white and purple bridal gown with gold sash and spiky gold choker. Panel 3: Arrival at the entrance of Hamunaptra, festooned with torches and obelisks under the light of a full moon.
Panel 1: Back view of Drac's bat form and The Mummy. Mummy: *Arms outstretched, Inhales* Ah, Hamunaptra, city of the dead. It's like I never left. Panel 2: Drac: Yes... (Puff of smoke covers him so only his wings protrude) Panel 3: When the smoke settles, Drac is in his human-like self again. Drac: Welcome home, High Priest Imhotep. Panel 4: The Mummy smiles. Mummy: Ooh hoo, why thank you, Drac! Yes, it feels good to be back! Panel 5: Mummy: I only wish it could have been under more jolly circumstances, ya know. (Here, his smile turns to a mournful frown.) Panel 6: Drac: Ah, come now, Mummy, don't be sad. Once all this is through, we will have the *jolliest* of times. And think of it: *You're* the one to make it happen!
Mummy: Eh, look, Drac, it's nice of you to give me this chance, but I just don't want to see you get your hopes up. Drac: What? Why not? Mummy: Well, for one thing, it *has* been years since I've spoken Arabic, ya know. And my accent just isn't what it used to be. Drac: *Aside* Ha! Say that again. Drac: Er, but that shouldn't matter, right? So long as you can still *read* the words- Mummy: That's just it, Drac. I don't know. The resurrection seems spell is a verbal one, so, for all I know, it *could* be voice sensitive. Not to mention, but I *will*, The Book of the Dead is a risky relic. Very, *very* risky indeed, ya know. Drac: Yes, I know it is, Mummy. But I am willing to risk anything to have my Hagatha back.
Figured it was time to transfer my comic onto this platform.
