A small square circuit board with two holes for power in and out, but no ground connection nearby.
This 2x2cm square circuit board has a two-pin screw terminal that takes the input voltage and output voltage, and measures the current. If I want to measure voltage also, I need to connect ground. It's a pity that there wasn't provision made for a three pin screw terminal, there's plenty of room.
I've placed a three pin screw terminal over the existing two holes and scrobbled it around to scratch the position of third hole. Since the whole back of this 2x2cm square board is the ground plane, I can scrape away the protective covering to access a ground connection.
