Hakusho's reworked reference sheet, page 1. This depicts Hakusho in various expressive poses, to which he's depicted being a goofball, sometimes stubborn, and being midly bad tempered, as his wife Harumi doesn't approve of him goofing off. He's also shown in his training outfit, where practices martial arts to defend himself from enemies. I also finally gave Hakusho a proper squid form, where he's stylized with his hair to keep himself unique instead of using the generic inkling squid form.

Harumi and Hakusho sketchpiece. One of which depicts Harumi waking out of bed asking to Hakusho "Good morning Haku, did you sleep well with me dear?", only for Hakusho to give her a thumbs up. However, their morning greetings were cut short by Harumi hearing the sounds of their newborn baby girl Carol (then known as Kyaro) crying out of her bedroom, Harumi was genuinely scared for Kyaro, and she gently cuddled her with her soft kimono, allowing her to be safe in her arms. Hakusho was also sad too, as he was distraught by his daughter's crying from her first nightmare. No one knows what caused Carol to experience this, but let's just say she's scared of loosing her parents to a crocodile overlord who wants to seperate her from her family.
Harumi and Baby Carol/Kyaro Sketches. (Feat a Hakusho cameo) Harumi is shown lifting lamps with her arms, prior to going about her day with her motherhood life. After a long day of taking care of Kyaro, Harumi is coming home to her bamboo house with Kyaro on a basket on her back. However, Baby Kyaro is tired and wants to sleep with her mother. This causes Harumi to be worried for her baby, to which she tries to cheer her up, only for her baby to get upset quickly and cry immediately. Harumi tried everything to comfort her baby girl, but then she got the idea to sing a lullaby to Kyaro, which worked in the end. Later that evening, Harumi took Kyaro to her bed and the two slept peacefully. Setting the stage in a mother and daughter relationship that will only grow from Haru's heart.

I wanted to highlight Harumi's life but also depict the struggles of her motherhood life as raising baby Kyaro wasn't easy.

Harumi and Hakusho are sleeping together. They worked very hard to provide Baby Kyaro the best life for her when she was a baby, but they need to sleep since they spent most of their energy giving Kyaro food, playing around together, and watching her closely to protect her from danger. Kyaro meanwhile couldn’t sleep in bed, so she snuck her away out into her parents bedroom, where she snuggled with Haru, and cuddled by her hair where she whispered her first words “I love you mama” <:)

Harumi and Hakusho had a very long day and they are sleeping together in their comfy bed. Baby Carol cuddles very closely with her mama as Haru silently smiles with her little girl close by.
