...and this will be the wallpaper for my #halfscaledollhouse
#dollhouseminiatures
When I started building a dollhouse and collecting #dollhouseminiatures, I was firm in my position of not wanting to have a bathroom or kitchen.
But my #halfscaledollhouse has both a kitchen and a bathroom. So I finally bought a bathroom suite. And, OMG, is it cute!!!! I am so excited about this!
Temporary drawer pulls for the #halfscaledollhouse #dollhouseminiatures base.
Trying to avoid buying knobs from Bezos because he has enough of my money already.
I might shop @dollhousejunction to find something I can convert. Like coffee mugs or bowls. They also have enough of my money, but...
What could I use this bowl of plastic bling for in the #halfscaledollhouse or #oneinchscale dollhouse?

The base I made for the #halfscaledollhouse finally got drawers. I made them out of basswood. They'll store tools while I am working on the house. If I ever finish the house, they'll be useful for holding miscellaneous #dollhouseminiature bits.
Still need to buy drawer pulls for the fronts.
A cozy corner in my #halfscaledollhouse
The #halfscaledollhouse has a new addition. It looks like a basement level, but I built it to raise the house to eye level.
I used two layers of double thick corrugated cardboard to build the platform. The two layers, once laminated together with glue and paper tape, are very rigid and durable.
One of the #halfscaledollhouse bedrooms.
As it was when I bought the house from Facebook Marketplace and as it is now.
I haven't reinstalled the moldings or permanently installed the floor. I hope to find a nicer floor than the paper floor I have now.

Some scenes from the #halfscaledollhouse
These rooms are all in the earliest stages. I'm still trying to figure out how I want them to look. Lots of setting scenes, playing dollhouse, and experimenting.
I love that you can see all the way into the living room from the dining room.
It's starting to feel like home! We have a dog, but no cats yet.
Yesterday felt like moving-in day. So much fun to add 4 rooms of furniture and a few accessories into my mostly empty #halfscaledollhouse
Since I don't have any living room furniture, I'm dressing the main room as the dining room.
More of my loot from today's trip to Lynnlott Miniatures Dollhouse Junction.
These are #halfscaledollhouse miniatures. These were part of a collection of room boxes that someone put together. I'll be removing the furniture and putting it in my blue dollhouse.
The one room I was hoping not to have to renovate. Unfortunately, there is an electrical short somewhere on the second floor of my #halfscaledollhouse
Locating the short meant tearing up the carpeting in here. And I haven’t located the electrical short, just narrowed down the possibilities. 😭😭😭😭
A brief lesson on dollhouse scale:
The large chair is the traditional dollhouse scale (1:12), where one inch equals 12 inches in real life.
The small chair is #halfscaledollhouse (1:24), where one inch equals 24 inches in real life.
The second photo shows the chairs with my full-size teacup.
The menu is rather limited in #halfscaledollhouse miniatures, but at least we have a cobbled together electrical system and a spot to sit and eat!
The new #halfscaledollhouse is wired for light, but I don't yet have the junction splice and transformer. I managed to rig up the transformer from my Princess Anne dollhouse to get the lights working temporarily.
The exterior of my Fairfield Dollhouse (my most "finished" dollhouse to date). I've been slowly working on the interior and hope to have it completed this year.
