Over 25 years ago when I lived in Kentucky, I created hand painted pillows to sell at juried craft fairs. I stretched mercerized cotton fabric over canvas stretchers and painted images using Versatex fabric paint. The final design would be heat set with an iron, machine washed, machine sewn with a painted complimentary backing, and hand stuffed. This particular pillow was entitled “PASSION PASSES” (24” x 24” x 12”). The final pillow form was amazingly soft to the touch despite multiple paint layers.
