Basic flat colors are in, but I'm still figuring out what markings to give them.

Four greyscale drawings depicting my alien species: Heptkhair. They are bipedal insectoids with four arms and no visible eyes. They have beetle wings that fold up very small on their back. Their tail is long, thick and has a hand/paw on the end. They have tarantula-like feet. They have two tongues, mandibles, and antennae. They have six nostrils (three on each side of the snout). They are fluffy around the neck, ankles, base of the tail, and where the shoulders/thigh exoskeleton meets the soft body. Their tummies, secondary arm fingers, antennae bulbs, cheek glands, tongues, and pawpads (only on the tail hand) are brightly colored and glow! Their blood also glows. Their wing membranes also often glow, but not always. All of the glowing (except their blood) can be turned on or off.

Finished drawing up this new reference for #heptkhair! Quite pleased with how this turned out!

Someday they will be a fully #openspecies, however they're not done being updated yet! They have lots of information that I'm working on, so feel free to ask questions! <3

First day w/ adhd meds and I was able to actually draw!! in fact, despite stopping to do some other stuff, I was able to return and keep working on it!

A more indepth sketch of the species, this time with more of the body. Still trying to refine and figure out ways to improve and make the species more realistic / accounting for evolution and environmental factors.

Some WIPs! Haven't been drawing a lot but I've been working on refining my species of little bug freaks #heptkhair! Mostly trying to really nail down a head shape that better conveys their bug and snake-yness + adjusting their mandibles. Plus various other anatomical refinements.
