Marvel very nearly did a very cool thing.
They came close but failed. SPIDER-MAN HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR #1 almost essentially re-did this old holiday card from the Direct Sales dept. (during their #HeroesWorld Distribution fiasco days, so either 1995 or 1996 [probably '96 judging by Storm's costume].
