When I start building up a painting, I keep it very loose and raw. I don't try to be perfect, that comes with the layers. I just capture what I am feeling.

Coming to the end of Layer 2. Now, to let it dry for about 10 days, only using a dry brush to fine tune the pigment.
Next layer will begin with a white glaze, center pushing out.

Getting a new Canvas ready.
This will be a 36" x 48" Celtic Cross. A commission for a dear friend.

MEMORY: Last year I was running full steam on IRON: The Graphic Novel, and then hit a wall. 6 weeks of solid focus, but then life got in the way.
This piece (still a sketch) is called Deeper Still, and it's the first trip in, going deeper onto Thunder Road.

Finally, I'm getting to do a Celtic Cross. This is a small practice piece to work out the composition.
The canvas shown is 9" x 12", and the final piece will be 36" x 48".

I've decided to not sell the Georgetown originals. I want them to stay here in town.
Ultimately, find a good spot to display them.
I am looking at doing reproductions on metal. Hopefully in February.

Rough sketch for the under painting of a new piece that's going to be 6 feet wide x 4 feet tall.
Not shown is a cloudlike galaxy structure in the shape of a mobius infinity symbol that will be on top of everything.
Working title is God Factory. Or a machine that creates universes.
