Private funder HHMI pauses postdoc fellowship As HHMI pauses Hanna Gray fellowship applications, opportunities for young scientists shrink further, making them look overseas.

Woah neat! I was quoted in #STATnews! Also spills the beans that I was forced to van life it in graduate school and other things 😂 I meannn I did write in my HGF app about coming to grips with my past and using it to empower others..here it is 👀

not sure I understand the #HHMI decision. Something about making sure scientists are supported- but Investigators are very well supported, why cut off the next generation? We look to institutions like that to lead now. Anyone understand the reasoning?

6 0 1 0

wait what they suspended Hanna Gray ? Really ? I thought #HHMI was going to defend it tooth and nail?

These private grant orgs really said, “We hear that you need more support right now with the funding crisis. We’re actually going to suspend our fellowships until things settle down.”

So disappointed in the groups that were supposed to be leaders in the future of science.
