For now, I'll wait for another warm day to get the rest of the sanding done. My body needs some time with my foam roller to loosen up. #HomeAdventures

I did toy with the idea of using the frame to put my peg board in, but I do want a mirror for my home office. Still on the fence about that. #HomeAdventures

The mirror frame was meant to be a simple staining job. But once I saw that the finish it had was painted (With grey primer) I begrudgingly knew I had to take it to the wood. So that's what I did today. I think I got about 40% to the wood. The rest I'll do by hand another time. #HomeAdventures

The shelf was sanded down and I did some experiments with my Dremel. The corners were smoothed down so I don't accidentally hit my hand or head. Then I stained it to see if it would look nice. I whooped when it did. #HomeAdventures

I'm using whatever stain I have on hand to save on money. But the shelf took the stain beautifully. #HomeAdventures.

The sun was out, it was fairly warm, and I'm back on my #HomeAdventures shenanigans.

Got started on my floating shelf and mirror frame.

Resting up and getting ready to do some errands. Were it as warm as yesterday, I would have been doing some experiments with wood stain. No, I refuse to do the two space heaters in the garage trick. #HomeAdventures

So stay tuned. I've got a lot to work on, and spring/summer are around the corner. #HomeAdventures

But I'm extremely proud of the work I've done so far (With some help from friends and encouragement of folks online). I wanted to make this home office my own place for creativity and non-Day Job work. #HomeAdventures

Once all of that is done, just final touches are left. And that list is too much for a post here.

They are:

Floating shelf to put craft cam up on (as well as other lighting/reference books)

Peg board, but make it look very fancy

Replace ceiling tiles/find out where the damn wiring for the track light goes to

I've got my noise cancelling headphones on, my desk is on its way to being more tidy (Baby steps), and I'm eager to start my next #HomeAdventures projects.

I'm currently researching ceiling tiles to relace the current ones. I'm gonna make this home office as magical as all get out. So stay tuned for whenever I get around to updating here. #HomeAdventures

Next projects for the home office:

Find a space heater that looks like a fireplace.
Refurbish a mirror I found to go above it.
Hang up my art works
Work on my shelf for above my desk.
Fancy peg board.
Foot stool for under my desk.

While there is some touchups I need to do, for now I'm calling it good so I can live in it. And I'm even doing some spinning again!

The effect of the pinstripes also come out in different colors of light. And that makes me super happy! My furniture now compliments the walls and Grandma Shears's chair doesn't blend into the walls. #HomeAdventures

Painting is DONE. Pinstripes are DONE*.

Next up is replacing ceiling tiles and putting in the rug.

*I still have to do the closet frame but major stuff is done. I'll get to it once my cold is no longer kicking my ass.

I noticed a line that only one coat and retaped and painted. I knew it would bother me, so at the least it's done. #HomeAdventures

Finally on the tail end of painting (outside of some touchups) and brought back my sewing desk. The rug mat is still in the box, but the whole adventure with the rug will be another weekend. But I'm super proud of what I've done. It looks amazing.

Now for the small stuff.

The tape is down where the desk needs to go and the desk has been pushed back. I have to get another quart of paint tomorrow morning but I have my space back. And it is looking magical. #HomeAdventures

I'll check later to see if I can start taking down the tape. The paper I set down has been removed and cleanup is now starting. I've done touchups when needed with the main color (Still have another gallon there) and will begin to move my monster of a desk back up against the wall. #HomeAdventures

Y'all. Y'ALL.

The stipes came out amazing (So Far)! I took the tape off and resued it on another part of the wall (yay for saving money). For now, that's a major win.

I'm enjoying the halftime show to celebrate.

It took an hour, but the second roll of green tape finished up QUICK. I still have 2 full rolls of the blue tape, so gonna use that up an start painting. Taking a break now to rest and have something to drink. #HomeAdventures

I did get smaller paint brushes so as to not wreak my hands, though. #HomeAdventures

I'm taking a break for the morning, but once I'm ready I'll be doing taping today, painting when I can. For this I'm expecting two-three coats so it can pop. I've got a lot of taping to do.

I took off the tape around the windowsill, and touch ups will need to be done.

Tape I'm using is a combo of the small green tape and the blue. Got the green at the auto store since they were the only ones that had it. #HomeAdventures

#HomeAdventures update:

Checked the walls this morning, and a third coat isn't necessary. So tiny taping for pinstripes are going up. Got started after waking up and one small wall is painted with the pinstripe color.

I will be planning to paint tomorrow, I'm tired and my brain is fried. But while I relax, I'm looking at electric fireplace inserts to use for the home office. And picture rods to hang up my artwork/photos I've taken.
