Purchasing a PDF children's shirt pattern off Etsy for $1.50 because I didn't want to draft it myself is why I purchased that eco tank printer. 😏 Finally got a desk tape dispenser so this should be easy peasy. I'm in full sewing grandma mode. 🥰 #homesewist

The dress bodice is fully taped & ready for tracing. Being close to the largest size when copying patterns makes it super easy since I follow the outside line. Next I'll triple ✔️ my measurements before making adjustments. Prepping patterns to sew as a +size person is labor intensive. #homesewist

I thrifted this pattern over 8yrs ago for .50¢. It has all the pieces…even the facings & belt loops. Who was this magical person who kept up with things like this because I could NEVER. Anyway I'm bout to make a zillion of these because this is a wardrobe staple for all seasons. 🥰 #homesewist

Finally taping one of the PDF patterns I got & this sucks donkey eggs. This was a freebie & I can tell you I'm over it so the big 4 are definitely gonna lose more business by going pdf. Folks are gonna either draft their own patterns or just not sew. #homesewist

What kind of maniac puts sizing on the fold of a dress instead of the sideseam?! There's no way to grade btwn sizes & keep the fabric straight of grain, it's gonna be cut on the bias. Me realizing why my "easiest" dress pattern isn't so easy & my dresses never fit well. 🙄 #homesewist

Measured the fabric w/a yd stick to make sure of how much I had. Did math on paper to figure out how much would be left for 3 panels after cutting the waistband. The panel number seemed short so I used the measuring tape next to my body. The skirt's gonna be long enough, I was tripping. #homesewist

I remember why I don't mess with PDF patterns. I printed the bodice front, back & sleeves of a dress & it was 20 pgs. I'm stuck on how much paper I used for just the top part of a dress. Paper sewing patterns are gonna be like gold but more precious. #homesewist
