Every two years, hundreds of skilled #citizenscientists help us survey all suitable habitat of Hooded Plover (eastern subspecies). That is over 2500 km of coastline along SA, VIC and southern NSW, plus parts of TAS are now participating!

The Biennial Count is not just a beach walk! Our skilled #citizenscientists make it possible to survey thousands of km of suitable #HoodedPlover habitat. This data demonstrated species decline, leading to its listing as #NationallyThreatened in 2014!
