Pen and wash watercolour: leather arm chair in the corner of the hotel bar, next to external doors, and underneath a wall-mounted fire extinguisher. I didn't know what I wanted to paint while I was sat in the bar - so I painted what was in front of me. Painting en plein air, albeit indoors, you could say!
When I get artist's block or writer's block I paint or write what's in front of me in the moment.
