I'm running errands Monday morning, then, until Thursday, I'm only stepping outside to replenish the cooler of water/gatorade for delivery folks and to water the garden.

Cannonball used to be stored aboard a ship in piles on a brass frame or tray called a monkey. In cold weather the brass would contract spilling the cannonballs that is how we get "cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey"
