A sculptural vintage 1950s handmade sterling silver 6 candle candelabra/candelabrum designed by Ib Trier Morch for Anton Michelsen of Denmark. Known as the "Bolgeslag" The Waves candelabra, designed by Ibi Trier Mørch (1910-80) for Anton Michelsen in 1950. She worked for Michelsen for a very short time from 1949 to 1952, and won a gold medal at the Triennale in Milan for another of her designs for Michelsen. A superb example of mid century Danish modern design by one of Denmarks top designers of the period! Measures 6-5/8" at highest point by 9-3/4" by 8" , and weighs 925 grams or 29.74 troy ounces. Marked as shown in my photos including Michelsen mark, "Sterling Denmark" and designer mark for Ib Trier Morch. Excellent vintage condition.
