Looking at subtle pink and green highlights in remnants in relatively low cumulus clouds moving fast with strong cold winds from the north east. The coloring is from light diffraction though ice crystals in a similar manner to how a rainbow forms.
Some lovely icebows today! These were very close to the late sun in the afternoon. Maybe 10 degrees off. Pretty sure it wasn’t 22 degrees. Wonder what shape the ice crystals were?
