A Kansas bill would limit how much time students can spend on digital devices during the school day.

‘Fiercely independent’: Wichita community leader Melody McCray-Miller dies McCray-Miller was elected to the Wichita school board in 2023. She previously served on the Sedgwick County Commission and in the Kansas Legislature. She was 69.

Wichita school board president Stan Reeser said McCray-Miller was “fiercely independent” and guided by her constituents.
