Moderator ZombiePie regrets to inform everyone on @giantbomb.bsky.social that Alex and Dan are wrong about Drake of the 99 Dragons.

There is indeed a worse Idol FX game and it is called FBI Hostage Rescue!

A translated version of an interview by one of the business leads for the now defunct video game developer, Idol FX, wherein they discuss their excitement about Imp, a fighting game with 50 playable characters and a game project titled "Foo" which would go one to become Drake of the 99 Dragons.

The text says:

Scared by ghosts, attacked by pirates – Idol FX also hopes that the kids will be affected by a Pokémon-like collecting craze this fall.

"Imp" is a fighting game that will be released on CDs, each containing one of fifty different monsters. The discs will be available in kiosks for just fifty bucks and the idea is that friends will meet up with their different fighters - or fans will be able to collect monsters.

The latest is “Foo,” which will be released in April next year. Still a cartoon, but more adult 3D action where players fight with traps and thieving tricks as they break into palaces and fight for the loot.

A full four games are almost ready from the thirteen employees of a completely unknown gaming company in an inconspicuous gate in the Sibirien neighborhood of Stockholm.

– We wanted to do it first and shout later, says Stefan Ljungqvist.
