Updated an older post about St. Thomas church in Providence. Built in 1913, it was just over 100 years old when I visited in 2014, but it's well over 100 years old now.

Sometimes you visit a familiar place and find something new. This is the Bear Ground at Roger Williams Park. A playspace built where the pre-zoo bear exhibit was. It's also a storm water bioretention area. Surprisingly non accessible for a modern play structure.

Just finished reading "Streets of the City" (1969) - a glimpse into how Providence's iconic locations got their names.
