Alpen Blick is in extended season mode with only the capsule pair lift open on weekdays. The pistes were in great condition till 10:30, but heavy rains interrupted the fun, unfortunately.

Day 65 Alpen Blick Myoko
We got between 40 and 60 cm of powder overnight. The powder was quite heavy (for Japan) in the morning but got easier to ski by 10AM. It was a blast skiing in the trees and the side country all day!

Yesterday started off with hard-packed pistes and no fresh snowfall in several days. By 10AM the blizzard started and by noon I switched to powder skies. It was an amazing experience.

Yesterday was part of this multi-day snowstorm that is making this one of the best seasons I’ve skied in several years. It was -11°C, which allowed the abundant powder to stay soft and light all day.

Beautiful day with nice relatively soft pistes for me to practice falling hard on my a** as a novice snowboarder. I took some lessons last season and at least some know-how/muscle memory seems to have stuck 😂
